• 1. Ensure that the ND5 XS 2 power and Wi-Fi antennas are connected and the power switched on.
    For more information see the ”Connecting the mains power supply” topic.
  • 2. Also ensure the phone or tablet using the Naim app, is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you wish the ND5 XS 2 to use.
  • 3. Touch the Naim app.
  • 4. Touch the Plus icon.
  • 5. Touch ND5 XS 2.
  • 6. Touch Next.
  • 7. Confirm the colour of the network indicator light.
  • 8. Touch Next.
  • 9. Touch ND5 XS 2.
  • 10. Your ND5 XS 2 may check the firmware is up to date. Touch DONE.
  • 11. Touch the desired country.
  • 12. Touch the desired product name.
  • 13. Touch the desired option. E.g.Touch Accept.
    By selecting Decline you will not be able to use the Chromecast built-in functionality. You can set this up later by accessing the Start Up Wizard from the Settings > Factory Settings menu on the Front Panel display.
  • 14. Touch Next.
  • 15. Touch Next.
  • 16. Touch the desired option.
    Touch Yes to set up the ND5 XS 2 as a UPnP server. The ND5 XS 2 will be discoverable over a network even when in Standby mode. This will use more power.
  • 17. If you would like to send product and app usage data, touch the tick box, then touch Done.
